Introduction
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the use of training programs, workshops, internships, certification courses, and related services (“Programs”) offered by PHN Technology Pvt. Ltd. (“PHN”, “we”, “our”, “us”) in collaboration with various Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), and other academic institutions (“Partner Institutes”).
By registering for any program, you (“User”, “Student”, “Participant”) agree to comply with these Terms.
Program Registration
Users must create an account on the Company’s platform to register for any program offered in collaboration with IITs and NITs.
During registration, users must provide accurate, complete, and verifiable information.
The Company reserves the right to verify user information and reject or cancel registrations that do not meet eligibility or authenticity requirements.
Registration is confirmed only upon successful payment through the designated payment gateway.
Account Responsibility: Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and for all activities that occur under their account. You agree to provide true, accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process.
Payment Terms
Payment collection for program fees varies depending on the collaborating institute. Users must carefully review the payment instructions displayed during the registration process.
1. Payment Collection by Institutes:
For the following institutes, the program fees shall be collected exclusively by the respective institute through its official and authorised Institute Payment Gateway:
- Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Jammu
- National Institute of Technology (NIT), Delhi
Accordingly:
- Users shall be redirected to the respective institute’s authorised payment portal to complete the payment process.
- The Company does not collect, receive, hold, process, store, transmit, or control any payments made towards such programs.
- All matters relating to payment processing, confirmation, failure, refunds, cancellations, chargebacks, tax implications, or disputes shall be solely governed, administered, and resolved by the respective institute in accordance with its applicable rules, policies, and regulations.
- The Company expressly disclaims all responsibility and liability arising out of or in connection with payments made through the institute’s payment gateway, including but not limited to technical errors, transaction failures, delayed credits, unauthorised deductions, or refund delays
2. Payment Collection by PHN Technology Pvt Ltd.
For the following institutes, the program fees shall be collected by PHN Technology Pvt. Ltd. through the PHN authorised payment gateway:
- Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Patna
- Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati
Accordingly:
- Users shall complete the payment process through the Company’s secure and authorised payment gateway.
- The Company shall be responsible for processing payments, issuing payment confirmations/receipts, and providing payment-related customer support for such programs.
- All matters relating to refunds, cancellations, chargebacks, and dispute resolution shall be governed by and handled strictly in accordance with the Company’s Payment & Refund Policy, as applicable from time to time.
- The User expressly acknowledges that the Company acts as the authorised payment collection entity for these programs and agrees to comply with the Company’s payment terms and conditions.
- The Company shall not be responsible for any academic, admission-related, or program delivery decisions of the respective institute, notwithstanding the Company’s role in payment collection.
Registration Fee & Seat Confirmation
A non-refundable registration fee of INR 1,999/- is collected at the time of enrolment solely for the purpose of confirming the participant’s seat in the selected program.
This registration fee:
- It is mandatory for seat confirmation
- Is strictly non-refundable under all circumstances, including but not limited to:
- participant withdrawal or non-attendance,
- failure to complete the program,
- rejection, ineligibility, or disqualification at any stage,
- program rescheduling, deferment, or personal constraints; or any other reason whatsoever.
- Shall be adjusted against the total program fee, unless expressly stated otherwise for a specific program.
By paying the registration fee, the participant expressly acknowledges and agrees to the non-refundable nature of the amount and waives any right to claim a refund, chargeback, or reversal under any condition.
Payment Security
All payments, whether processed by the institutes or by PHN
Technology Pvt Ltd., are handled through secure, authorised
payment gateways. Users are responsible for ensuring that they
complete payments only through the official links provided on the
platform. The Company is not liable for payments made through
unofficial or third‑party channels.
A payment confirmation email
will be sent within 24 hours of successful payment. If you do not receive
confirmation, contact outreach@phntechnology.com immediately.
Program Delivery
Program content, schedules, certification, and academic delivery are managed jointly by the Company and the respective institute.
The Company is not responsible for delays or changes arising from institute‑level administrative decisions.
PHN reserves the right to modify program schedules, delivery modes, or faculty assignments as needed to meet operational requirements.
User Conduct Policy
Participants agree to:
- Maintain respectful behaviour toward instructors, staff, and fellow participants
- Avoid plagiarism, cheating, or misuse of program materials
- Not share copyrighted course content, recordings, or proprietary materials
- Not engage in disruptive, abusive, or unlawful activities
- Use the platform only for lawful academic purposes
- Not impersonate others or provide false information
- PHN reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to any participant violating these conduct standards, without refund
Refund & Cancellation Policy
1. Non‑Refundable Fees
All fees paid for training programs, workshops, internships, and certification courses are strictly non‑refundable. This applies even if:
- The participant is unable to complete the program
- The participant withdraws after registration
- Illness, emergencies, travel issues, or scheduling conflicts prevent participation
- The participant is dissatisfied with the course content or delivery
- The participant fails to meet program requirements
No refunds or partial refunds will be issued under any circumstances except those outlined in Section 2.
2. Program Cancellation or Rescheduling by PHN
PHN reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any program due to circumstances, including, but not limited to:
- acts of God or natural calamities;
- force majeure events beyond PHN’s reasonable control;
- inadequate number of registrations;
- changes in institutional schedules or requirements; or
- technical, administrative, or operational constraints.
In the event of such cancellation or rescheduling, PHN shall, at its discretion, offer the affected participant either:
- a complimentary transfer to an alternative session of the same program within the same financial year, or
- a full refund of the program fee paid, subject to applicable deductions.
3. Refund Processing (Applicable to PHN-Initiated Cancellations Only)
- Refund Initiation: Refunds shall be initiated within 15 (fifteen) days from the date of issuance of the cancellation notification.
- Refund Completion: Refunds shall be processed and completed within 15–20 business days from the date of initiation.
- Mode of Refund: Refunds shall be credited to the original mode of payment, whether processed through HDFC Bank payment gateway or the respective institute’s authorised gateway, as applicable.
- Non-Refundable Charges: Any payment gateway, bank, or transaction processing fees shall be non-refundable.
Certificates
Certificates of participation or completion are issued only upon
successful completion of all program requirements. Each
certificate carries a unique certificate number. Participants must
retain this number for future verification.
Certificates can be
verified on the official PHN website using the certificate number.
PHN is not responsible for the loss or misplacement of certificate numbers.
Re‑issuance of certificates may incur administrative charges.
Data Protection & Privacy
- PHN collects and processes user data strictly for program delivery, communication, certification, and compliance purposes.
- User data may be shared with Partner Institutes solely for academic and administrative coordination.
- PHN implements reasonable security measures to protect user data.
- By registering, users consent to PHN’s data handling practices as per the Privacy Policy.
- PHN does not sell or misuse personal data for unauthorised purposes
Limitation of Liability
1. The Company acts solely as a facilitator and service provider for programs conducted in collaboration with Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and does not control or assume responsibility for the academic content, evaluation, certification, or administrative decisions of the respective institutes.
2. The Company shall not be liable for any acts, omissions, decisions, or policies of the collaborating institutes, including but not limited to institute-managed payment processing, admissions, scheduling, curriculum changes, assessment outcomes, certification decisions, or administrative actions.
3. Users acknowledge and agree that participation in any program is undertaken voluntarily and at the User’s own discretion and risk, and the Company shall not be responsible for any loss, damage, or inconvenience arising therefrom.
4. To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, the Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of opportunity, reputational loss, or business interruption, whether arising in contract, tort, or otherwise.
5. Cap on Liability: Notwithstanding anything contained herein, the total aggregate liability of the Company, if any, arising out of or in connection with the program, payments, or these Terms, shall be strictly limited to the actual program fees received by the Company from the User for the specific program giving rise to the claim. In no event shall the Company be liable for any amount exceeding such fees.
Legal & Compliance
- Users must comply with all applicable laws, including the IT Act 2000, data protection regulations, and academic integrity standards.
- Unauthorised distribution of course materials, recordings, or proprietary content is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.
- PHN reserves the right to cooperate with law enforcement or Partner Institutes in cases of misconduct or fraud.
Intellectual Property
All program content, materials, videos, assignments, and resources are the intellectual property of PHN or Partner Institutes. Users may not copy, distribute, reproduce, or commercialise any content without written permission.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Pune, Maharashtra.
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
